Today is kind of a big deal. Not only did I go to the gym but I went this morning! I went at 5:30. And can I just go ahead and give kudos to those that are already early morning workout pioneers. Whew!
Anyways, I'm posting my first gym visit because it really is a big deal. I have been sedentary for the better part of 6 months and over the last few months I have gain twenty plus pounds. (Yeah, I know...right before swimsuit season.) Why didn't I realize this sooner? But never the less I've decided somethings gotta give.
So, I am trying to make a few lifestyle changes to help decrease the number on the scale. I know I can't do anything too drastic right now because I'm in school 40 hours a week and I won't stick to it at this point in life. But I figured I can add working out back into my routine and start watching the amount of food I intake. So I'm starting small. My goal is to go to the gym four mornings out of the week and do some cardio and weights while I'm there. And to stop eating out at school for lunch (which saddens me greatly but I can't resist things like Panera Breads large creamy mac 'n' cheese). Instead I'm going to bring Lean Cuisines for lunch because they are easy along with two cookies to meet that nagging sweet tooth that always rears its head after every meal. And simply eat smaller portions at dinner.
But that brings me to breakfast. I'll continue to have my morning coffee but I don't love breakfast foods. What are your go to breakfast items that are low in calories but keep you full for the morning??
Anyways, I figured what better way to get back into blogging than to share my struggle with you and have you all hold me accountable?! Sound good? Hope so. =)
