FREELY JUSTIFIED

Every day I need the constant reminder that I am a sinner.  A constant reminder that it doesn't matter if I live a life better than someone else.  We are all sinners.  Every sin is the same.  No greater than another.  And while this thought may seem depressing, I bring this up as an encouragement.  We are each evil, sinful beings only looking to please ourselves.  But we have a way out of the death and destruction that is our world.  We have Christ.  I love Romans 3:23-24 because it does just what I need.  It reminds me that I have fallen short, that I have done nothing to earn salvation, that it has NOTHING to do with me and EVERYTHING to do with Christ.

We are COMPLETELY (let that really sink in) justified for our sins.  Past, present and future sins.  How crazy is that??  We've done nothing and Christ has done everything.

Rest in that truth today, friends.  Let Christ carry your burden today and rest knowing He's done it all.

  7. I had major typos in my original comment so let me try this again :) As a Christian, I love this truth that you shared. I still struggle with truly grasping that ALL of our sins are forgiven. It's hard to fathom; truly. Thank you for reminding me of God's amazing grace!
